is angela rye, political strategist and principal of impact strategies. ryan grim, washington bureau chief for "the huffington post" and msnbc contributor jonathan capehart of the "washington post." it's only the middle of february 2013 and we have a slurry of individuals, bobby jindal, marco rubio, rand paul, paul ryan, but as far as jindal goes, he doesn't seem -- he seems to be having a hard time convincing voters in his own state. he only gets something like 37% of people in louisiana who want to support him. what do you think his prospects are to begin with? >> first and foremost, i think it's a really bad idea to kind of poll or test policies on your state not paying attention to what really matters to the folks and the residents of louisiana. so i think he really has to get a better handle on what his state cares about right now. it's not school vouchers. it's not this new tax proposal he has. it's things that immediately matter like what's happening with the economy. i have no idea what bobby jindal is doing but he's a little off base here. >> that's a fair condemnation. jonathan,

school nurse tried to help her friend, angela nolen, a kindergarten teacher, hire a hitman to kill nolen's ex-husband. they both worked at sontag elementary school. the school superintendent reassuring parents and students. >> these events, as we understand them, did not involve the schools or any students. and your children are as safe was we can reasonably make them. >> reporter: nolen is accused of paying $4,000 to an undercover police officer she thought was a hitman on tuesday. the job, to kill her 63-year-old ex-husband, paul strickler, father of their 7-year-old daughter. >> mr. strickler was very surprised. >> reporter: the attorney of the object of the surprise hit says his client had no idea. that divorce proceedings were ordinary with no red flags. and angela nolen had full custody of their adopted daughter. >> mr. strickler found out about the alleged plot the day ms. nolen was arrested. obviously, he was in shock and distraught. >> reporter: this morning, the kindergarten teacher and the school nurse accused of plotting a murder-for-hire are both behind bars. >> the mere fac

now to talk about the mistrial in this case is prince georges county state's attorney angela alsobrocks. thank you for joining us tonight. >> thank you. >> and can you talk about the mistrial. >>> there was testimony that referenced more than one home invasion. the judge said we were to talk about only one and there were four burglaries we were able to discuss. one of the witnesses in the case, i talked about, more than one home invasion and the judge decided it was probably additional and could be to the jury and decided a mistrial was appropriate. we, of course, respect the court'ssition and -- decision and we'll be ready to retry the case in october. >> i am sure this is tough for the families. they were sitting in the courtroom and to he is. how are they taking it? >> it's disappointing and that i have be about through an ordeal i can only try to imagine. they were anxious to bring justice and they're disappointed, but we have talked to them and everybody is ready to g. we'll do justice for the family and be back in october. >> and jason scott is convicted of 100 years. >

[applause] recently it was asked whether or not i missed the congress. i said yes, but not particularly this one. pointing out that even though i am long forgotten as a candidate, i might actually have an address with 1600 on it, although it is 1600 eiger street. [laughter] there were times when january 3, when an amendment was offered to the fiscal cliff legislation. two years ago, he would've told me that i be standing before you and talking about the film and television industry, i would be asking what you were doing. i would not assume i be in this position. the last movie that i saw was the heffalump movie with my children. i must tell you that the last two years have been very interesting. my friend dan glickman, he spent several years at the nmpaa. there are a number of people here in the audience who are with the motion picture association. educating me about the industry and what we can do to help. i am grateful to them for s
